CIVIL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs quality assurance inspections on a variety of civil engineering and public works projects administered by the firm, ensuring the projects comply with design plans and specifications and review authority requirements.  Full or Part Time Position Available.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from high school or GED.
  • At least 4 years of progressive experience with water, wastewater, drainage and roadway projects.
  • Familiar with local County (Harris, Montgomery), City of Houston and TCEQ requirements.
  • Must physically able to visit construction project site and climb structures.
  • Certifications not required but considered beneficial to the position.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License by hire date.

RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously on a daily basis.
  • Prepare daily reports completely and accurately documenting all work performed before leaving the site.
  • Communicate and follow‐up, with oral and/or written reports, regarding the progress of the project to the project engineer, project manager and/or Construction Manager
  • Ability to read all specifications, plans, shop files, and submittals
  • Must have proficiency with the handling, management, creation and modification of PDF documents.
  • Must be able to interpret and implement company mandated safety policies.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • The ability to operate office equipment (computers, fax machines, copiers, etc.) to communicate sales quotes, job specifications and other pertinent information to customers, suppliers, engineers and company personnel.
  • Compensation includes salary, commission, vehicle allowance and travel expenses.
